the lawan "outfit" changes the whole model?
i find this very strange. i mean, dont get me wrong, the new outfit option for lawan does make her a super cute asian chick and all that, but come on. rosario dawson is also very attractive, and i can only imagine how much money they had to spend to get her voice and likeness into their game because she is super famous. why then have an "outfit" that removes her likeness? i figured it would just change her clothes not her whole body... love the game, but some of the dev's choices frankly baffle me (and coop is atrociously implemented (again))...

i had assumed it was the model used in some markets
China.
The reality: people from other places on Earth might have a different mindset. No social media, bluedit or something else can affect that. It's not wrong. The world is a bigger place. It's not obvious only for those living in an aquarium.

Most people think Lawan is black people but no. She is Romani people and originated in the Indian subcontinent. The Lawan voice actor Rosario Dawson is black people.

I preordered DL2 and have been playing off and on since day one. At launch, I don’t recall there being an option to change Lawan’s skin.

What I do know for a fact is that a lot of bigots and racists came out of the woodwork, complaining about her skin color and appearance. Techland responded by adding skins to appease this vocal minority.

Altering Lawan’s appearance only validated the racism and bigotry, making it a poor decision by Techland. Prejudice has no place in a civilized society.

It got added during the previous Lunar New Year celebrations (January), as part of said celebrations. Why? Beats me. But now you can play with an Asian Lawan, for those so inclined. To me, Rosario Dawson is peak, so I never touched the skin, but eh, to each their own.
