Can you fully level up your character in DL2 even if you skip the story missions?
Why? Because I've seen some of the story missions and they seem like depression simulators.

I'd rather have a challenging game with zombies and survival that didn't include Un skippable stories designed specifically with the intent to make you cry or similarly squeeze emotion out of me with a horrible no-win choice, e,g, ME3, Strange Days.

Ironically, mods fixed both of those games with happy endings, so there's that.

Thanks

I'm more interested in if i can level up my character to max on easy level and totally avoid night time.. because night is dark and full of terrors.. Plus my eyes strain when i'm in dark areas..

i mean we dont know what the storie will give us.

story and side missions can have bad endings and good endings. its up to you to get them.
we also dont know if the main story has multiple endings. good neutral bad secret etc.

of course you can buy the game and solely go around killing zombies. but that would in my opinion be a waste of money. and i think specific items are locked behind story missions like the glider and probably grappling hook

... if you want a Purely Zombie Survival with zero story, why not go play something like DayZ rather than looking at RPG/Story games?

probably with grind you can. like in the first game. but i think it will be a bit more difficult as there are levels now. unless they scale with your level. than you should be fine by farming. just do what i did in dl1. find a spot with lots of zombies and throw molotoves.

Just increase the gamma level, no more dark areas

There is missions where you need to play during night, because it is too difficult during the day

Not only were Legend levels quite grindy, the most effective way to grind them out were quite boring relative to the rest of the game.

If they were to add Legend levels (Or something similar), I'd rather they cut back on the amount of grind and make sure that progressing as a character remains interesting all the way through like the normal skill trees (Including the buggy in The Following DLC).

That's going to suck of course because absent those two items, certain areas will be likely inaccessible, plus man I love gliding.

But seriously, I LOVE a good story, but (as an example) ones where I put in a great fight and watch my love interest die in my arms instead of being able to save her, is a mechanic designed by artsy types who want to inflict what they perceive as MEMORABLE emotional events.

F-THAT, I want to win and save people, not fight hard only to die or watch a loved one die.

So....I'll wait and get a synopsis of the chapters and see how much artsy pain crap is being inflicted and decide what to do, as someone pointed out, I might be able to cheat past the bull s h i t. Time will tell. I don't care about cheating in a single player game, no one should.

The good thing is you can play the game multiple times and get a different story somewhat if you side with a different faction.

I find that a bit funny considering your picture seems to be a Space Marine from Warhammer 40k and in that universe Humanity is fighting a losing battle and is most likely going to get wiped out at some point.
PCGamesRule Jan 28, 2022 @ 4:37pm
I picked that picture because I find the Space Marine to be valiant personification of male leadership in the face of overwhelming odds. I could give two craps about the universe in which the lore resides however. Clear?
