This is true, however Steam does not sign exclusivity deals, a developer/publisher releasing their game on Steam is not bound by contract to only release on Steam. EPIC on the other hand are very aggressive with exclusivity.

Fortnite is teen rating, so its parents fault if less than teens play the game. Also it is parents fault if any children they take care of spend money or to much money on the game. At least Fortnite doesn't teach and prey off of gambling addiction like CSGO does.

Yeah and from my point of view a game for 13+ shouldnt have such a strong focus on selling cosmetic items and reward systems etc.

But to be honest i think this is a general problem in modern gaming. Years ago games were made to be fun and to sell a lot. These days one of the main focus seems to be to keep players playing as much as possible and to have them spend as much as possible in the game after the initial purchase. And to be honest from my point of view this is ruining gaming.

target demographics gont matter when the people playing don't care you can market a game to adults all you want and there will be a ton of kids playing it and devs know this.l Lootboxes also are psychologically proven to correlate with gambling addiction there is no circumstance where it is remotely acceptable adult or not

It is exactly the same, no amount of mental gymnastics can get over the objective truth, that truth being when a dev/pub chooses to have their game only on Steam or only on Epic, the result is exactly the same, the dev/pub chose to give the consumer only one option.
