How do you get an SMG or Rifle?
I keep finding ammo for it, I'm pretty new to the game. Is it later in the story?

If youre already in the Central Loop, go the the Fisheye & talk to Jai next to the House there. But spoiler alert: Youre gonna have to grind A LOT for those Guns.
