Update has completely broken my game (respawn death loop)

After the game updated, I'm now stuck in an infinite death loop. I've tried respawning at daybreak, at dusk, at last storypoint, and even rolled back my save in the main menu.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

I have the same problem and I tried several actions like you and... nothing changed

Can't even start a new game - it just gets stuck in a loop. :(

Do you have any mods installed?

I have Dying Lite (which removes the insane amount of Volatiles everywhere), a para-glider upgrade and a lock-pick cheat. Wondering if one of these is the culprit. Once I've verified my game files, I'll retry without mods. I hope it's not Dying Lite. I can't play when there are Volatiles on every inch of roof space.

UPDATE: removed the mods - now I just get a black screen - all files verified 100%, so the game is totally screwed now.

Game crash 1-2 min after start, no mods, fresh windows, fresh drivers, fresh install... :(

It happened after last update (1.16.0 in this case). The frist thing I have done was to verify integrity files.... and other things.... nothing...zero results.....still in death loop

Game is critically bugged and devs dont see any problems with this and give idioti advises like "reinstall windows", so, i REINSTALL its not help.

Well, I found my faulting mod (a grappling hook fix). My other mods work BUT I have completely lost my save-game. Even with no mods, it just loads to a black screen now.

I solved this by verifying files and got rid of two mods (unlimited stamina en anti-fov).

This is the first time it happens to me but I've just realized that it is not the first time this happens after an new update.

I have just sent a request for a solution about this to Techland. I hope they say something about it at least.....

I at first started the game with its original files (it was modded but the update wiped all out) and it loaded the save clean. The second time I added all my mods in and it did that death loop thingy. Deleted the Data0.pak and verified (thats how you remove most of the mods) and the loop was still on till I "respawned at dusk" or whatever it was called. They (the devs) did expanded some of the script files and by keeping the old ones something will eventually break. This time it was something with the HP (at the time of death my max hp was always 700/0 on the skills window).

Its 100% a mod, I downloaded a new mod today, and it caused this. Deleted it and it stopped. Some mods cause it, others dont.

The solution is disable mods :) The reason it happens after updates, is cuz of mods in most cases.
