Playing Bloody Ties though just brings to forefront just how uneven it is with at times the plot moving forward going from non plausible to downright ridiculous. If you had any suspension of disbelief (immersion) these bring you right back to reality with jarring precision.
I tend to stand by the principal, it's their story to tell but, I maintain it doesn't have to be a good one in my opinion.
As many know a good story plot can move along the most inane of game play without much complaint from the end user. The reverse seems to be the case here if I am to generalize.
Overall I just expect better from a supposed triple A gaming publisher. If it's a matter of cultural translation maybe resources should be spent on deciphering that in the name of localization?
Another problem is that the game introduces to like 500 characters with all the side missions, but there is no bond to any of them exept Lawan but even that connection is not used. She only has a passive role.
The first 30 minutes did everything better. You see the house and the people that did their last party. You get clues, want to know more about them and the world around.
plus game running like ♥♥♥♥ didn't help.
Finding a long lost family member is such a cliche overused plot, Besides, Mia is such a weak plot device that players don't even care because there's no depth and mystery behind her.
Then there are plot holes everywhere. Endings do not make sense and are strongly biased towards the Survivors, even though the character writing on Survivors are all terrible. Frank is a burden to everyone because he is an delusional useless drunkard in the story. Somehow he save people by giving him Radio tower for his "Dear Diary" show. Not to mention those two traitorous self-conflicting siblings, Sophie and Barney.
