Question about gear stats

does gear with increased ranged weapon damage affect guns? or only bows/crossbows?

It doesnt, as of 25.03.2024. If this gets changed at all we dont know. The devs wanted to point out that ranged weapons and firearms are two very different things, no matter that knives and axes should be counted the same way. If thats not the case, that means they did effed it yet again with a half assed programming for their "ultimate" update for the 1.0 version (2.0 will be their next "huge" DLC thats supposed to drop any time in the next 8 months). Alot of luck to the devs that sweat and bleed for that one goal. For everybody else stay sharp and watch out!
