Either I must be completely dead inside lol, or I'm assuming it must be very young teenagers playing to feel afraid playing? I'm genuinely curious; do you just never play horror games/watch horror films to feel like that, or what's the deal exactly? (again, not judging, but honest answers would be helpful)
In any event; I guess just try to enjoy it whilst it lasts if it makes you feel that way. I honestly can't even remember the last game I played that I thought was even remotely scary. You'll miss it when it's gone. Kind of lowers the excitement & enjoyment you can get from it.
Funny thing is I turn 24 in a couple of months haha, I love the zombie genre and like to play zombie games. I just have no idea why this game scared the crap out of me. I feel so nervous everytime I play. Then again I can't even play dead space without being spooked. But I guess I just need more exposure therapy lol
But the night also brings a lot of opportunities. Theres a bunch of things you can only do at night. Places that will give you inhibitors, valuable loot and special infected that will drop the parts you need to upgrade most of your blueprints.
So, be scared. Keep a UV flashlight in the ready, but dont skip that part of the game. You will need it.
Toward the end you kill.
Trust me.
Fret not, for I, Sir Licksalot shall ensure your safety! Simply snuggle into my tender embrace, until the twilight wanes and is replaced by the radiant lustre of dawn. With enough cuddles, all your fears will be assuaged and diminish, until they become nowt more than mere specks, remnants not worthy of being scattered unto the wind, let alone presided upon by your skittish mind.
