How can i get rid of this volatile swarms?
Havent played this game for while, so gave it one more try after they patched it. But its unplayable now, even on easy, this is a fu***** mess. No matter where iam there are immediately 4-5 volatiles huntig me and starting with the hunt which brings all the other monsters too.
This would work, or would be acceptable if they didnt follow and find u everywhere. U cant even go into buildings. This espacially makes some quest totaly undoable. When u have to fight a boss and his endless swarm of zombie adds, its hard enough, but when u got also attacked by a 3-4 volatiles at the same time, its not possible to win the fight and finish the quest.
Who the hell thought this could be fun, or this is how the game should be at night?? some quest can only be done at night, but the game dont let you. This is not hard, this is unplayable.
Can anyone tell me how i can deactivate/change this? also playing on easy didnt help

use the interior of buildings to navigate at night, and use regen + toughness boosters to fight bosses and volatiles

dont fight, run and stealth. they arent hard to avoid and are designed ever since DL1 to hide and run away from. also 99% of the game can be completed during the day so its not forced on the player.

Im only lvl 2 and i used everything in my arsenal, but without succses. for example the quest "Sentimental Value: Find the Music Box" takes place in very small area where u also cant heal up while fighting. there is the boss, infinite spawning adds and 4 volatiles in the room. theres no way to deal with this. boosters and interior didnt help. this is a lvl 1 or lvl 2 quest. and there are some other quests too, where i had similar problems. right at the beginning of the game. i mean, i play on easy and cant finish a lvl 2 quest...this is ridiculous. is there no way to deactive this?

the volatiles spawn infinitely down there?

there is normally 4 volatiles down there. thats always been a thing since launch.

if you enter there with a chase, just like all other buildings volatiles will chase you in there.

you can enter stealthily and then us UV bars to stun the volatiles completely then kill the boss for the loot.

also this is an optional side quest that can be done at any point of the game and is more than possible to deal with early game on hard let alone easy. perhaps reapproach it with better gear. lvl 2 is still tutorial level character and night time missions arent supposed to be easy or accessible.

u must have played a different game. its immpossible to avoid them. once i take a step outside a base or uv-light they swarm me. and no, many (side) quest/targets can be only done at night (the game/npcs say so). so can i only play the story quest or quests at daylight?
But the main point is, that volatiles gets involved in boss areas-fights. i cant and i wont handle all of them all the time. again, im lvl 2 and playing on easy (thought this could help with the volatiles, but it didnt) and this is f***** frustrating. hate that sh***

first, this is not easy. just annoying to do so all the time. but again!!!!!! the main problem is that they get involved also into boss fights. and thats the thing where the game becomes annoyingly frustrating. whats the meaning of playing easy and beeing low lvl when the game throw these unnecessary mechanics at you. i should have listen to my friend who said: fu** that sh**

its been a while since i've done these missions, but that one doesnt need to be done at night? missions that need to be done at night are indicated with an icon. The last update where they added roaming volatiles has nothing to do with those you can encounter inside dark hollows, forsaken stores or hospitals, the roaming ones dont follow you in there, in fact, once you do go inside, they reset their positions. Volatiles being inside areas where they shouldnt be is a completely different issue.

sure its also a skill isue. im a beginner. but u didnt answer my questions, only relegate to the possibility to run away from them, over and over again. what i never denied, its just annoying, but not the main problem. but claiming that fightng boss and adds and volatiles at the same time for a lvl 2 player is only a skill issue, is just arrogant and not helpfull. but thanks anyway. wish u great day too

thats what the kid (maya) told me. do that at night. but maybe u are right, i think this is a bug. because normally when u go inside a (quest building) dark zone at night, there are no volatiles. only at daylight. that worked normal and fine. but there are some boss areas and anomaly areas where they swarm u while u fight them. while i was fighting my first anomaly, there came some volatiles and attacked me too, plus spitters from outside the area attacked me :-). this shouldnt happend?! but plz can u tell me if theres a way to deactivate this swarming encounters in boss areas?

The new night system is an indefensible mess. In particular, for a new player, it is simply awful. I'm a veteran who has been playing since release, and it's annoying as hell.

on top of night missions being indicated with a blue icon in the map, when they start the game will give you a prompt to skip to night time, thats how you know, some dark hollows have humans inside, so no difference between going in at night or day.
volatiles invading anomaly arenas is most likely a bug, unfortunately theres a lot of jankiness in DL2, nothing you can do aside from the booster combo i mentioned, make sure to upgrade them.

yes i know. but this was a"normal" quest at daylight, telling me that the next step should be done at night, and not these special quests which are indicated with a blue icon.
This game is totaly broken at night. once they start a hunt while u are on the way to a quest area, they wont stop swarming everthing also in the quest area. u only can get rid of it when u run back to a save UV area, which is NOT the quest area. I have found myself totaly locked in quest areas because they wont stop the hunt when u inside the quest area. and the next problem is, that boosters are useless when there are constantly 6, sometimes up to 10 volatiles plus all the other zombies are hunting u in that area. and theres no way to get rid of them once they started the hunt. they stay there the whole night. And fighting 1, or maybe 2 volatiles plus all the other zombies, maybe would work ( hard with lvl2, but i would try), but theres no way fighting soooo many of them. Thats ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.
Its really not the overall difficulty, its this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ night-swarming-hunt mechanic that is totaly broken and a complete mess. I wont play that ♥♥♥♥ anymore till they fix/patch this.
