Differences among crafted weapons?
Is there any difference among the weapons you can craft from blueprints, other than 1H vs 2H and slashing vs blunt? In other words, is there any reason to bother upgrading more than one of each type (e.g. 1H slashing) if they all work the same and have the same stats (as they appear to)?

It is visuals only. Some of them look like trash, others are trash. Maybe there are skins for some of them too, that are somewhere in the cash shop.

Sure - some weapons have better stats then others. For examlpe: the most powerfull 1h weapons are the Hydra Knife and the Signpost Axe (Last Hope). So you don't have to upgrade every weapon

The 4 main melee weapon types are very different, but the types within those types (mace vs hammer, machete vs axe, ect...) don't seem to matter too much. I couldn't find a noticeable difference between a mace and a hammer despite switching between the two frequently. The main exceptions are the knuckle dusters and knives; They are both faster than the others in their main category.

Some craftable weapons have a special effect attached with them too. The halloween knife poisons after a bunch of attacks, for example. I don't know if there are other special weapons like that, but keep an eye out.
