Save presents or not?

Just getting back into the game. started a fresh run. Should i wait till im at a higher level to open the presents? or just open them as i get them?

I think they level up with you so if you are in need of gear at higher level save for later, but given that certain golden encounters will start appearing after you max out, you could also open the presents now or whenever you need to.
It boils down to preference and need.
