I am not saying we are clubbing 9 year old during the Winter Tales event...
...but the small ones look like nine year old children and even their movement strongly reminds of running children.

No kudos to the responsible designer for this artistic decision from my side. :(

He's forgetting that in the first game we snapped the neck of literal screaming child zombies.

It's funny how parent can't stand to kill zombie children in a videogame.

I'm pretty sure this must be the reason why in DL2 there's no zombie kids.

It was different in the first game. First there were only two encounters with child zombies and second, it was a respectful putting them out of their misery. Almost reminded me of the scene in the first Telltale Walking Dead where Lee and his redneck buddy discovered the starved child zombie in the attic of the house in Atlanta and Lee tried to end him as gentle as possible.

Such a weird moral compass to have on a zombie VIDEOGAME.

Why is bro complaining now, Did we not have the same exact miniature zombies every christmas in DL1?

Haven´t played DL1 for years, so if they made something similar to DL2 in the last years I would not know. When I played it actively (2015-2017) there were only two encounters with child zombies in the whole game (one story releated, one while exploring).

They were rare, but certainly not just 2.

Dude, this is a zombie apocalypse.

We should be seeing zombie children, zombie crippled, zombie old people, zombie pregnant women There is no distinction on who's turned or not. Everybody is susceptible to turning and eating their family, friends.

Remember Gazi from DL1? Things would be from this to worse. Remember the baby strollers in the Tower, all bloodied? If Techland wanted to raise the reality bar they could've even created Viral children. I wonder how people would react once you hit them and they beg you to stop. Which is exactly what Virals do, since they are still aware of what is happening, but are completely helpless as the virus is taking over them.

They come off as shrunken zombies to me.

But if your imagination goes to clubbing 9-year olds, seems like some introspection is in order than calling out the designer behind the models.

Very peculiar how OP immediately likens them to a specific age :kratos_eyebrow:

They are zombie elves.....they are supposed to be short as ♥♥♥♥

Actually you can even bypass this delusion of seeing children by simply grappling them or performing an execution. These interactions force the elf models to magically re-scale to normal viral size, and it persists on death so the ragdolls and gibs will be normal size.
