Weapon repairing - it is not worth the money asked
Repairing weapons steals almost all the money you made while destroying them. A ruined level 9 legendary weapon costs more then 10.000 bucks to restore it to former glory and I grind through 2 - 3 of that weapons in a single night hunt. So up to 30.000 bucks repair costs in a single night. I can´t find that much stuff on defeated Volatiles to cover that kind of expenses... (played on normal not ng+, maybe things look better on higher difficulties)

Also I am completely broken on scrap-parts because each repair takes 50 scrap from my inventory. I have no scrap left to produce knives and UV bars.

Also repairing the weapon costs more then the weapon is worth if selled to a vendor. If the repair of your car is more expensive then getting a new one it is a case for the scrap press.

Given the fact that we get a level 9 weapon with each new legend rang reached and the possibility to earn them from the new anomalies repairing weapons hast not much attractiveness left. That system needs a rework from the devs.

It's balanced in terms of the economy being broken when you sell items on normal and low difficulty. It is still only an option to what their vision is - post apocalyptic weapons made of materials scrapped around, not suited for long-term use hence the technology is as simple as putting nails into pieces of wood or wiring pieces of metal together.
