i have this white square appearing in the middle left of my screen i have researched it but it hasnt solved a thing

if anyone can help and not just say turn it off in graphics setting that would be great

All I can find on google is a reddit post saying to update graphics drivers, if you're already on the latest try downgrading to a version that you know works fine for Dying Light 2.

it does give me a pop up when i load the game at first saying my drivers are outdated but i have searched for new drivers for a while but no new have came out for my card but thx i will have my tech freind have a look for drivers again thanks for doing some research.

Had something similar in Red Dead Redeption 2. It seems to be a far reaching Issue. Wouldn't surprise me if it was Windows Related or something with Steam.

Do you not have Nvidia Geforce Experience or AMD Adrenalin? They update the drivers for you at the click of a button. You should never update GPU drivers from windows.

Anyway, there is one more option, it's more for those who don't want to install geforce experience or update the driver. You need to delete sl.reflex.dll in the folder Dying Light 2\ph\work\bin\x64, this is the file responsible for the option nvidia reflex. Most likely with other games where this problem occurs, it works the same way


The only thing is that you may need to disable nvidia reflex in the game settings or in the driver. If you have a basic nvidia panel that does not work, you can change the settings through nvidia profile inspector. There are 2 items ultra low latency - CPL State and ultra low latency - Enabled set to off. You can slice zombies with a high.
