I too couldn't escape that bug any other way. After getting past that part of the story game went back to normal.
Its weird that there are no mods that can force-enable Fast Travel.
I reached out to techland, and their response was, "Roll back a save, Go to NG+ or start a new save". These dont seem like the most logical fixes. Dont these kinds of games have some form of internal check, that says " You can now fast travel" and they can just reverse it on their end, like if they were given the save file? This seems like it *should* be an easier fix on their end.
They're busy making DLCs to milk the game, while the fast travel bug is so common that too many people are affected. So they reply you with automated responses and offer no solution to the problem.
