Aiden grew in post-fall world and constantly act emotional and nonsensical
uoooohhh people betrey me aaauuuuhh must protect women; OH NO DOOR STUCK SAVE ME LA1 LA2 LA1-2-3
Crane a trained GRE operative, Aiden a dude who got experimented on as a kid and spent almost all of his life alone and travelling as a pilgrim. You expect Aiden to be on the same level of maturity?
My main problem with Aiden is that he is just stupid. I'm pretty much the only one who says this, but he shouldn't loot corpses when there are z-heads to be jumped on.
But somehow he behaves like a teen who never saw real world ? Inconsistency in world building is a bad thing.
Imo few reasons for this:
His character is poorly written, he has a bland as ♥♥♥♥ personality compared to Crane, his combat abilities aren't as cool. Crane was doing Kung Fu moves on zombies and all Aiden does is some air kicks a drop kick, and a power attack. Oh and the vault kick thing which I'll trade for the stun kill any day now.
Logically Aiden is definitely dumb. Proof: He traveled with Spike many thousand miles/kilometers and must have definitly encountered more dangerous zombies in outlands. Besides, Spike should have taught him strategies and tricks against zombies and volatiles, but he got bitten by a volatile, because the idiot didn't take an UV-flashlight/sticks. :)
Well, about that "trained" GRE operative: Crane was probably way more skilled with combat from the start, while Aiden is a delivery guy mostly. DL2 starts with Aiden running away from vitrals, not slashing them all the way. Later he becomes stronger with taking the inhibitors, but still he just stays the delivery boy. That's it.
