You know, they want your data at any price, so they'll even use other platforms to get that information. Do yourself a favor and don't use Epic.
Gonna suck waiting for Dead Island 2 though ... :(
I've seen a few people hyping up Dead Island 2, but what am I missing? Doesn't seem all that impressive to me. I have my complaints with the Dying Light series, but Dead Island 2 seems to be a step backwards.
Going from an open world zombie parkour game to a linear instanced no parkour zombie game just seems like backwards "progression". And there's not nearly enough to justify this level of backwards. I'm sure it can be mindless fun, but it doesn't seem all that deep I'll be honest.
Is it really going to do melee combat better than Dying Light 1 or 2? Honestly, it's questionable now if it would even be better than the original Dead Island. Does it have more than one attack direction like the original Dead Island had with analogue combat?
Movement seems pretty bland relative to Dying Light 1 & 2. Some of the animations lack the level of intensity and impact that players have come to expect in the genre. Maybe I need to look more into it, but I'm not impressed by what I've seen. Has co-op even been showcased?
Given how the shadow animates for the player, the co-op animations might be even rougher than Dying Light 2. And those are already pretty rough. Doesn't even have vehicles the player can use like the original Dead island. Just my two cents in any case. :Shrugs:
Yeah good point, i would much rather give all that data to Steam/Valve instead with their exemplary data harvesting/selling and crappy business practices
Yeah agreed, Dead island was pretty jank and poo from the start, never bothered with anything after that as the first game was just mindless, and the rate at which everything broke was ridiculous.
In my opinion Dying Light trounces Dead Island in almost every way.
Thanks for the info i guessed as much, was just curious why it started to do it suddenly after owning the game so long, it only started doing it a week ago and i have changed nothing, anyhoo i'll sort it out, cheers.
