Help with True Friends quest.

So, I think I might have messed this up.

I was working on this quest, and I got to the part of finding the place the kids had gone into. It was daytime though, so I figured it was a night mission, and waited til night, since dark zones like that usually have volatiles in it. When I went back at night, there were SIX volatiles at the entrance. I've gone back numerous times since then, trying to complete the quest, but those volatiles seem stuck in there now. They don't come out at night, or despawn, and I can't kill that many at my low level (or at all, probably).

Any advice on what to do? Should I just leave this until later, or is there some way to reset the quest?

Haha, I had the same thing. I basically lured them to and then killed them all through the hole on the first floor after the entrance. It's probably bugged though as there's no way it's a level 2 (or whatever lvl) quest. You also have no choice and are required to kill them so you can bring the kid out.....

While it's night time, exit to main menu, then load back in. The volatiles will disappear. Had the same issue

I managed to figure it out after a long time of trying. I had to log out at night while directly in front of the place. That cleared them out and let me enter. I also closed the doors; don't know if that helped, but barely had any zombies at all inside once I did.
