Elitist assuming everyone has that. Start a NEW GAME and tell us it's balanced.
Your shilling is getting out of hand.
You can get powerful UV flare on early game and those resource are easy to find.
DL2: Before the update, yes it is easy game play on night time. That is why someone complain about this.
They really should not put the new game mode on first gameplay if they did. I cannot confirm it as legendary 90 level . It should be unlock for someone who already finish the game once.
-You got the paraglider before you get UV flashlight.
-It required a non common resource to craft UV flare and those resources most can be found on building. However, there is a lot volatiles at day time. You can fight them 1 vs 1 with skill but not more than 1 volatiles and tiny space.
-Volatiles 1 or 2 hit to kill u on low level.
-The new update also nerf the UV flashlight and flare. Before the update, you can use UV flare and UV flashlight to make volatiles stop attacking u and run away in most of the case unless you keep attacking them. But now, they will still keep attacking u even they are in UV light area.
That is a unfriendly game update for the new players.
you are not suppose to kill volatiles... thats the point
You're wrong. There are bounties to kill volatiles. If they aren't supposed to die, explain that.
Went on to do the Princess quest, ran past about 10 volatiles, managed to get inside quest house and being greeted by 2 more, how am I supposed to do that mission...
Not everyone are hyperactive 16 year old sado maso kid.
That's good. That's what Dying Light 2 is about. And you need to use stealth to survive.
What Techland did wrong is that they ignored the new players and kept the old crafting system and gave newbies no way to fend-off Volatile hunts. Back in DL1 we had UV Flashlight quite early. In DL2 we only get it at a later stage in the game and UV Bars are impractical because Techland decided for a totally crappy "token farming" approach to upgrade items and the items needed to craft bars are found only inside Dark Stores.
As a consequence, the problems starts to snowball and we have what we have now.
Techland shouldn't ease night time, they should give players the tools needed to survive. They should also change the Immunity mechanic to something that new players can stay in the dark for longer time in order to plan accordingly. And they ignored this part of the gameplay. New players cannot stay in the dark for long because they'll die, so they have to rush to dark stores and WILL trigger chases, but cannot defend themselves because UV Bars aren't good earlier due to upgrade requirements and resources are rare to find, but UV Flashlight is locked too far behind the story.
Also, there are no OP weapons or great gear, that is unless you stagnate your own progress and don't start NG+. As for the bows, they do not offer as much cheese on high difficulty in NG+ which is good, makes you think and build accordingly. If there is an OP build out there, it would prolly be a full brawler set with decent melee equipment, volatiles won't stand a chance.
That said, They spawn rate could perhaps be tweaked a bit for New Games and further along the story increase it (If that is what Techland has in mind for their Nights)
I went back some comments to get some more info regarding the quest (Since I dont remember that quest). But Dark Zones such stores and Hallows should not be entered during the day. The player is given a brief popup tutorial on this saying that they are full of Infected during the day so they are best visited during the night.
On a brand new Save (Created 2h ago, so post patch) I entered 4 Dark Zones, 2 Hallows and 2 Stores in Villedor. Neither had any Volatiles in them during the Night. But going there during the day they had several.
