Let us switch back to the old night system
Let those players who like the change keep it, but a boatload of us don't like a lot of these changes. Your game was not designed around a night time like this and for more than a year now, a lot of us liked it the way it was. You gave us no control do decide which way we want to play.

And to anyone who agrees with me and doesn't like a lot of these changes: leave a negative review. I actively dislike the game now and I don't recommend anyone to buy this. Not only because of these changes, but because it shows that they are ready to throw a lot of people under the bus to try to please a loud minority who will never be happy with this game anyway and will always cry "DL1 was better"

I think it's a coding issue.
DL1 nights were boring and tedious. 0% scary. More along the lines of: "Welp i got spotted time to run of and reset aggro then try again"

This my issue too. The amount of them that hunt you in the night makes moving at night not enjoyable. As soon as you engage a biter or howler, the noise will bring in the volatiles, and then you are done. The other biggest issue is basically how they are impervious to any weapon or tool. I tried the UV bars but they simply do not last enough time.
It is pretty obvious they didn’t test this with a vanilla new game on several difficulty settings seeing how wildly unbalanced and unfun progression feels. They probably tested with an endgame built, infinite material and god mode.
Tbh volitiles should be scary very tough and impossible to kill as a new player, that's why they are the apex predators off this game. how ever if it actually interfears a lot with main story missions, they should probably look at it, but in early game they should NOT be a enemy to take on but a enemy to run from ALWAYS.

Night time in DL2 was just a joke before, now its more in line with the first game,
how ever every single roof has on on it and i think that was a bit off overtuned on thier part.

Would like to see you guys play, it is still very easy to outrun anything and you still need to force yourself to run to get to lvl 2-3-4. It got just a bit harder but not that much.

I used to like night roaming and Stealth killing a Howler.. when I could manage it..
.. but this is insane.. its like DL The following.... in the city at night.. its crazy.. I cant even get away from the windmill before Im spotted..

So,,,, Have Volatiles replaced Howlers.. at least with a Howler you can Stealth kill it, even at Lvl 1 .. but this is silly..

In the original DL, I used to venture far at night because I could see the Volatiles and use the Grappling Hook but In DL2 I dont like to keep hitting "scan" every 5 secs.. it spoils immersion.

I dont like my games easy and I like a good challenge.. but DL2 story and progression is centred around night quests that only appear at night and can only be finished at Night, where as DL The Following was centred around day time quests and exploring and the night time was all about pure survival, but now DL2 you cant quest without dying too much..

Come on TL.. this isnt a Souls game.. give uis an option to turn on and off the new Volatile night content..
not being spotted is not that hard, keep in mind that volatiles can see your flashlight, and can smell you, just like in the first game, in DL2, use interiors, they are never there, it also seems like they cant follow you inside dark hollows, forsaken stores, etc. you can also use the catwalks to traverse

I just walked into a Dark Hollow at night and was killed by two volatiles. Clearly, you're wrong.

I think this is the first time i've saw somebody complaining about them making nights harder & scarier. Most posts are about how nights are too easy/casual. I doubt they're going to change it for a couple people scared of the dark.
The point is this world wide change has made the game impossible to adore anymore. This change should only be for a Nightmare mode setting. This game change now has caused unexpected loss of weapons, drops to disappear (meaning can't farm for materials anymore), you can barely grind for levels anymore, F'n the volatile off you takes 3 times as much effort. Game on Easy mode is now = Hard.

More like, you're a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ issue. How the hell are new players going to adapt to this. I have been grooming a few new players and they now hate the game as it is unplayable. Before it was a nice casual zombie grind. Stop being stupid, it is a code issue, not a skill issue.
