Let us switch back to the old night system
Let those players who like the change keep it, but a boatload of us don't like a lot of these changes. Your game was not designed around a night time like this and for more than a year now, a lot of us liked it the way it was. You gave us no control do decide which way we want to play.

And to anyone who agrees with me and doesn't like a lot of these changes: leave a negative review. I actively dislike the game now and I don't recommend anyone to buy this. Not only because of these changes, but because it shows that they are ready to throw a lot of people under the bus to try to please a loud minority who will never be happy with this game anyway and will always cry "DL1 was better"

Did you know there is a booster to improve resistance, hit harder and NOT take damage? well there is! And you know what? They help kill the volatiles. Before you complain for free play the game and GG!

The booster was there before. Now you are forced to use it. That's feels lazy and limit the variation of play.

Lol these nights are amazing. Finally they are going the right direction. Nights before were a joke.

Now they should bring the shotgun back then as well. :)

Man Techland can never get a break lol They added all this due to the majority of players feedback. I will say, I don't think the new features are well-balanced for Dying Light 2 vs on Dying Light 1. But it's a start. They still have to refine the features.

The old night time was terrible, bland and boring. The howlers were annoying af and now you have to think about how you want to traverse at night all the time instead of using roofs only

Now i skip nights, cause i play this game for just having fun booping off zombies off buildings with my weapons. Its just not enjoyable to me.
So i would want the old system as an option, or rather, have some of them at night like making them special mini bosses in the end. Not have multiple come at you when you just make some noise every time.

I agree with making this a setting

Just like color grading and parcours modes.

Or they should rebalance the whole campaign around it with gear, consumables, missions for every difficulty mode.

"Loud Minority"
You mean every single person who played DL1 and liked how that nighttime ran, only to join DL2 and hate its static nighttime issue?

It wasn't a minority, it was a MAJORITY.

However, the changes they made were a bit too much that even the people who WANTED THESE CHANGES can't compensate for how difficult things are now. DL1 had dynamic nights- basically meaning that roaming and reactive VOLATILES were what drove night time to be a time of fear- up until you reached high Legend Levels: and after that you had the ability to change the difficulty from 'Normal - Hard - Nightmare', with Nightmare Volatiles being the ones you DO NOT WANT TO MESS WITH.

They didn't take into consideration that some people DO LOVE BEING SCARED- but need a balancing to where they have routes to take to avoid being seen or heard. It isn't here in this update. Roaming Volatiles is a very very nice start, but reducing their health across the board (lest you get chase level 4 like a dummy) would help allow people who are farming legend levels (like in the original game) and making it so the volatiles will react to you RUNNING NEARBY, making noises NEARBY, or just generally being NEARBY (really close) should have them react and 'track' where you are based on your GENERAL location- like in DL1.

This update is a very very VERY nice step towards what the large MAJORITY of people who played both DL1 and 2 wanted- but it will take a few updates and changes to both AI and Volatile stats to make it a little more engaging and not infuriating.

That being said, I'm legend level 250 and REALLY don't care as I play the game as a stealth-hoe anyways. (Played DL1 without HUD, music, only at night and without survivor sense on Nightmare difficulty after I reached 250 LL).

TL:DR - Update is really good on paper, but poorly researched and executed. Considering how Techland actually cares about the Dying Light franchise, they will inevitably listen, so give them time. Don't whine claiming that the community didn't want this type of update; as they did. Since release. Whine over the fact they overshot what the community asked for and didn't reflect on what made "Dynamic Nights" better than "Static Nights" while also taking into consideration that new players (or those lower in LL) need to have a method to reach a tier where they don't have to face a Volatile on ROOFTOPS every 5 seconds. Wasn't like that in the first game, shouldn't be like that on the second.

Skill issue

At least the volatiles should not be such bullet/arrow sponges as they are now with this f-u-c-k-i-n-g update. This is just b-u-l-l-s-h-i-t.

Please keep in mid the the current night situation is a lot more extreme due to the current comunity event. You need to turn the event of the get the "indended" new night expericane.
