If Aiden was diving and about to drown he'd grab onto a pen and stay put rather than try to save himself. So..yup
I do agree that I wish they found a middle ground between the weight of the first game's parkour and the 2nd's tho. It is a bit floaty but I can accept it as it doesn't detriment the gameplay imo and it does make the game's parkour unique and fun in it's own way
