I know!! It's almost like it was a last minute change and they had less than a month to model her or something.

Hey, I just got this game and was wondering: Was the model changed after the game got released? Where did the blonde model come from?

The original character model was removed

They changed her for unknown reasons, but was likely some sort of inclusive crap.

Tbh I've always wondered if the story was changed and that's why the model was changed too. I remember the lead writer or whatever got in trouble and was fired/quit the company maybe like a year or less before the original release date, which then got delayed.

There are multiple parts in the story where things didn't really seem to make sense with what was going on, hinting at other things, or were completely changed from previous gameplay demos, like there being a negotiation with the Colonel over water instead of what happens in game.
