Weapon Durability?
How does it work?

Do weapons completely break like the first game?

Can we repair them if they do completely break?

So many questions.

weapons have more durability points but you cant repair them, only add extra durability points with blueprints to them but you can do it as many times as you want to extend the weapons life i belive is what was said.

Thank god. Only thing I hated in DL1 was the weapons repair system and the weak durability.

My friend was the same way, i kept trying to convince him that it was about turn over, you are not suppose to become attached to one weapon but acquire more as time goes on or rather that's how i did it, i have a feeling it might still be like that here for me. It matches the whole scavenge for weapons things, i mean these are makeshift weapons naturally not having the same strength/durability as real weapons made before the collapse.

I hope it's more bearable in this game. Weapon durability in games is one of my most hated features. It adds nothing but frustration. That's one of the reason I never finished Breath of the Wild.

I wrote a guide here[www.slythergames.com] about how it works. But the quick summary is that you have a limited amount of repairs per weapon. It's based on how many mod slots it has since you can only repair it by attaching a mod. Certain weapons have no slots, while the most I've seen is three.

Once a weapon breaks, it's gone forever. There doesn't seem to be a system like the original for those familiar with escort missions.

Oh well that sucks. They made the durability system even worse than the first one. Guess I'll wait until someone can mod it out.

Yeah, there are mods for the original that do this so I don't think it will take too long. Fingers crossed!

Weapon degradation is so lame. I don't care how many times you hit someone in the head with a crowbar, it will still be a flawless crowbar 20 years down the line.

Lol! I know right? I'm not sure what Techland was going for with no visible degradation? Seeing the wear and tear is what made the weapons system in Dying Light 1 cool, you saw how much you've used a weapon. Also, in the E3 2019 version of Dying Light 2, you can actually see that Aiden's weapon breaks into pieces, and he throws it down, yeah, there's still no visible wear and tear, but at least they implemented a way too tell if your weapon broke, but now Aiden just puts it away.
