Did anyone lose interest after getting to the City?
As soon as I found out the next primary zone from the starting area was a big city that required you to float around with a paraglider and hit air pockets to traverse like I'm playing some type of arcade game, I just stopped playing.

Anyone else get this same vibe?

Toxic public lobbies weren't helpful, either. I'd join a game and get kicked immediately. Change your lobby privacy settings, you idiots.

It feels even more copy-pasted than old town. And way less like an actual city, but like empty artificial monkey gym that forces you to travel with paraglider, sacrificing any urban immersion on the way.

co-op shouldnt be played til its fixed, you get kicked because of a high chance of your save file being erased

I liked it even more when I got to the city. And using the paraglider isn’t a requirement except for certain situations

well IMO the game needed a bigger map...yes I know...its 4 times bigger or whatever, but it doesnt seem so because theres a sense of sameness and duplication with every part. what it needed was the city, and outskirts like farmland with buggies and yes guns.

It seems that way for me- I haven't got back to the game for a while now. Mind you, I think the paraglider is neat, but something just felt super off. The first map was super fun I thought, night time ease aside.

+1 Thread

a New City should be WOW, i will check every corner...... but in DL2... the main quest to the new city is an arcade runner game... so frustrating, the vibe is completely killed

I loved getting to the center. my frustration was that it kinda shoves you in with no moments to chill. you get there fly to the top of a skyscraper then fly across the map to a electrical station, then are told to go to the fish eye.

like... it would have been better if we get to chill and meet frank and stuff BEFORE having the elctricity and and such events. so you get accustomed to not having it.

it just felt rushed and it leaves you in the middle of a random city not knowing where you are.

Didn't lose interest, I was just disappointed that it felt like more of the same. First game felt like it had much more varied environments and getting to the main big city felt almost like a new world.. like the game was more dangerous and serious now.

In dl2 it literally felt like I'd just crossed the street. Same city just a little classier.

I LOVED THE 1ST GAME WORLD it was huge vs this and i also felt there was hell of alot more area to explore while this has very bad graphic at the map boarder and out. everything was new and refreashing and i never got tired of it. tthis world i get Ainxty from because its so underwhelming and i find my self doing something intead of playing said game

I would have to disagree personally. old town legit has 1 building spammed across the entire map with about...4? 5? unique buildings. half of which cant be entered. not to mention that most of the buildings in old town all had the same insides all of which were composed of 2 apartment types.

That's true, both areas are just total ctrl-c/v spam, I guess it just feels more apparent when the scale of buildings is greater. Tight streets and cozy backyards in the old town somehow offset the monotony a bit for me.

yeah idk. the slums felt more unique to me. even though some buildings were copy pasted everywhere. it had like... sectors to make it unique. the school region with the overpass. the muddy slums next to the tower. behind the tower led to the fishing village area and infamy bridge. rais's tower area etc etc. lots of different spots around one central area felt nice. old town on the other hand was the same. but it felt less unique everything blended together besides the blue district which was a nice change

I was talking about DL2 old town vs the city.

DL1 had less assets, but the areas felt way more unique, locations were made with a lot more care.

ah I see. sorry for the mistake. its called Old villadore in this game which is why i mistook it.

yeah I semi agree. I love the mpoa in DL2 but I will admit its less memorable overall. and you sort of blindly move through it half the time

I am 100% sure there are probably some that did
