Why... Why Can't you loot your arrows/bolts!

Does anyone else find it absolutely mind boggling that you cannot loot arrows that you fired? I'm supposed to believe that these junk/scrap arrows will survive being yeeted from a curve/compound/cross bow, inflict massive damage on enemies, but not survive the impact. No where in the description does it mention these things break on impact/shrapnel to create some type of commonality between arrow types and the overall power they carry, and of course when they are let loose they disappear.

Probably to encourage the player to keep hunting for scrap and other crafting mats. Very little point in seeking out more if you can just take the throwing knife/arrow back out of the zombie.

this really pissed me off and not being able to throw my weapons like i would always do.

while this may be true its a lesser version of a beloved mechanic from the first game. the only reason to make it this way is to enforce players to grind materials to use their favorite weapon.

which is nothing but tedious to 99% of people and is less immersive. Id prefer the old system for arrows more. I can understand maybe bolts not being retrievable cuz the crossbow is OP but bows? nah it needs to return

retrieve arrows at the ranges I am firing them no thanks, scrap and feathers about easiest to farm, every single vendor sells them and each has unique stock. So hit up all vendors and soon 400+ scrap and 200+ feathers
