No problems here with my 2070 super, well most of the time.
After I play for a while, can be 1 hour, 2 hours or whatever amount, my game starts lagging like crazy.
I have to restart the game to fix it :S My temps are fine, so seems to be game related.

It is the game at the end of the day. You can try all sorts of things to try and remedy the main culprit. Tweaks, reinstalling drivers / ddu, set launch options, delete cache files, reinstall game, some people even reinstalled windows just for this game, disable game anti lag, disable Hardware Accelerated GPU scheduling, etc. You might get lucky and "band aid" fix it with the above troubleshooting, is what I like to call it. You shouldn't have to go through and do all of this though is my point. The thing is, the game was running butter smooth for me up until a patch or 2 ago along with many many others. You know for a fact it's the game when you see dozens of threads like these and no one is having issues with any other game but this. My guess is they will come out with another "performance fix patch" that may fix some people's issues and there will be another batch of new people with performance issues. It will probably be like that for awhile until hopefully the kinks are worked out. At this point I don't really care, I already got many hours into this game before the last patch or 2 ruined performance. I say just hold off until next patch and see what happens. Unless you just really want to play the game.

are you guys running Wallpaper Engine? Coz I was regularly going down from 70-80fps @ 4k - DX11 & DX12. I would crash down to 1-10fps.

After trying everything i could think of and updating every driver i could nothing seemed to stop this random bug.

That was until i suddenly twigged. So the moment it happened, it suddenly dawned on me as i alt-tabbed to my desktop. A crazy 4k @ 60fps 8x AAA animated background was going wild in the background.

I paused it properly and alt tabbed back to my Dying Light 2 game which was instantly fixed.....went back to 72 fps.

It's the latest couple patches causing the issues on stuttering for people that did not have any issues prior. It's the game for 99% of the people.

well its been three days and my fps hasn't dropped below 60fps. Usually at 72fps @ 4k.

all by ensuring Wallpaper engine is paused. I guess if you don't run WallPaper engine what you need to do is look at what else could be using your GPU. Look at task manager and sort by GPU utilisation to see what else is running when your FPS tank.
