Renegades side quest bugged

Just tried to do the Renegades side quest. After you pick the lock to free the renegades it just says “Please Wait”. After returning to a windmill saving the game quitting and returning. The renegades are still in the room but the door has changed to “lock pick hard” but it will not allow you to attempt to pick the lock again.

Result you cannot rescue the renegades. Back to the main mission I hope this gets fixed soon !

Most likely the quest trigger is broken. I don't know how backups work on version 1.0.6, but I suggest waiting for an update on the developer's menu on nexusmods. Then you can roll the quest back to the part with the renegade fight and then lockpick the door again.

I have the same bug, the quest just won't complete, the door stays locked....tried everything. ._.

menu and spammed call for help, then just had randoms try and open the door for me , worked and triggered the cut scene after the second try

Heres how i fixed it…. Step one kill yourself… respawn at last story point… than run back to the door it will have prompt to unlock it dont press anything and send distress call once someone joins it played the cutscene

(i tried it so what i did was die, walk back to the door but not touching or anything , sending a SOS and then Hoping the person joining would click on the door it did start the cutscene ! )
i had to do it twice because the first person didn't do it or maybe it didn't work so don't give up !

i found a solution and the cause of the problem

if you use a high grade lockpick to auto pick the lock causing it to bug out

solution A: have a friend join and attempt to pick the lock which will automatically put you in a cutscene and solve the issue

solution B: rollback your save and pick the lock the normal way which will, also, automatically put you in a cutscene and solve the issue
