This game is lagging so f**king much
Im on windows 11 with a rtx 3070 and intel i7-11700kf. Why is this game lagging and stuttering so much?

Edit: I though i was the only person experiencing this issue, but according to many players the latest patch made the game lag/stutter for some players. I guess we have to wait for a new patch to fix it.

actually they are right, this game like Metro Exodus, Control and some others was designed for hardware not out yet. To be specific hardware with more a-sync compute and more dedicated RT hardware.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Most people here started getting stutters after the latest update. Many, including me tried every fix they could find and nothing helped.

Personally, the game ran smoothly for over 50 hours. Then, the update 1.06c destroyed my FPS.

In solo or MP? I believe that if the host has problems, others does too..this already happened to me and my friend. any time he lag, im having lags too - but never the other way around, when my hardware lag, he (still as game host) doesnt.

how much ram do you have? what are you game settings? do you use gsync? whats running in the bg? Are you sure there isnt a cp setting causing it? is your firmware up to date? Chipset drivers? IT COULD be any one of a million things so give more details

Also why dont you submit a ticket to their support? They will have more info than we do

Lower your settings. The game punches above what your hardware can handle.

tf do you mean? with his build he should at least get 120fps in 1080p with DLSS

I have a 2070 super, i7-9700k and always have around 60-70 in 3440x1440 with it

My bad.. I have 16 gigs of ram, the game settings are at the highest with rt, yes i have g-sync enabled but i don't know what it does and not much is running in the backround besides the general windows stuff.. I've tried everything :)

just remove RT and then fixed, RT is a big ass meme. Reflections are barely noticeable compared to Watch dogs 3

I agree. Ray Tracing is just small details that makes the game run worse. I already tried disabling it with no help.

you have no clue about computer hardware lol.

Some things worth trying.

-Setting the games .exe priority to High.
-DDUing your drivers and reverting to one prior 511.79.
-Disabling over-lays (Steam, Discord, MSI Afterburner, etc)
-Disabling Asynchronous Compute.
-Disabling in-game Vsync and forcing it via Nvidia CP.
-Disabling/Enabling Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling.
-Disabling/Enabling Windows Game Mode.
-Disabling/Enabling Resizeable BAR.
-Increase your Nvidia Shader Cache to 10Gb.
-Delete your dx12psoshader.bin in \Documents\dying light 2\out (Game will stutter until shaders recache on the fly).
-Delete your video.scr in \Documents\dying light 2\out\settings\. Reapply in-game video settings again.

For me, I run at DLDSR 2880px High, no RT at the game mostly runs at 75Hz with the occasional fps drop when entering busy areas (Fish-Eye etc). HAGS is disabled, Game mode is disabled, Resizable BAR is enabled, Shader cache is set to 10GB. Running Nvidia 511.65 with gsync enabled.

Ryzen 3600 (Stock)
32GB DDR4-3200MHz/CL16
RTX 3070 (stock)
NVMe PCIE 3.0 SSD
Windows 10 21H2
