Stuck in Barney's Hideout

I went to Barney's Hideout to investigate during the Watertower quest, but it wouldn't let me pull back the plank of wood covering the hole in the wall. It eventually did, but when I interacted with the flesh on the ground, it locked me in the room. This has to be a glitch.

glitch, npcs are supposed to spawn in when you get locked in the room.

I'm having a similar issue. I'm sorry, but this game is challenging enough without added bugs to the mix. Time to start playing another game. *sigh
