Loot/rewards stuck on level 6.

Title. After finishing the main story I went ahead and go to side missions I didn't do yet. Finished it in coop, and sometimes joined my friends campaigns which did bug out some missions I already finished, but that is not the issue right now (though it is annoying seeing those objective markers)

I read somewhere that loot and enemies starts scaling with you AFTER you finish the main quest, so I was looking forward to finally getting some good weapons. Well turns out no, I cannot get any because EVERY LOOT that is gear or weapon is stuck on level 6, regardless of the area/quest I get it from (haven't seen a lvl 6+ side mission yet) The only weapons that I have are level 9 because I found them when I joined a friends' world. I am level 8, 2 bars away from level 9.

Is there any way to fix this or am I just stuck with ♥♥♥♥ loot?

im the same i have been able to get lv 8 stuff from shops tho

search sunken city. you can search even if its still flooded and the containers contain higher level gear up to 9. they also refill after time so you can keep going back and getting new high level things at level 7-9 there.

Will go check again, but I only got low tier loot from there as well as far as I remember. Will edit in case I'm wrong.

EDIT: It appears that the sunken airdrops do offer lvl 9 loot, however the rarity of them is only blue so far. Bad RNG?

bad RNG, i llot Legendaries there, even the enso Katana lvl 9.

1 or 2 military boxes in the sunken city give lvl9 epic/legendary weapons. Yesterday I got a lvl9 legendary machete. From legendary bandits and special zombies such as Goons and Demolishers you also get epic/legendary weapons/cloths (Crossbow + venom bolts are very effective against them)

That underwater zone often drops 7 lvl or blue and purple items.
There is another way - looking for enemies with a gold icon during the night and loot them. They often drop 9 lvl, but also can drop blue, purple or lower lvl.
Actually these two ways are still very difficult to pick full gold 9 lvl set) Hard grind

at the moment I have only gotten artifact lvl 9 gear from endlessly farming the underwater district military drops and killing golden mutated monsters and looting them. (seems to be a higher chance to get lvl 9 gear if you are at lvl 9) when i was lvl 8 i often would get lvl 7-8 gear and rarely 9 now I get 9 more often.
