You think Parkour/combat is better in DL than DL2, check this out.

Yeah, if you like feeling like you're playing on low grav, then sure.
MrCBlower Feb 20, 2022 @ 12:43am
Of course, because using the grappling hook to jump off a high building and pull yourself to the ground without any damaged was so realistic and is totally how gravity works!

Or using the grappling hook to pull yourself from the ground all the way up to the top of a building is how gravity works as well!

Except if you're going to argue that Dying Light 2 is realistic when it comes to gravity, I'm not sure what your point could be.

I never said it was realistic, I said it was batter and it is, that video shows that, can't do most of that in DL.

I don't think any one really complained much about the parkour not being better and feeling better throughout the world. It was mostly the combat and anime swing trail effects. Especially the moon jump skill as your first unlocked skill.

The zombie physics and combat feels are much better in DL1.

Parkour Running of DL2 feels like "Butterfly simulation"

If you think the combat is better in DL then OK, I guess fighting against humans in DL was so awesome, I must have missed that.

Butterfly simulation, good one, that's almost as good as when people said Doom Eternal was like Mario.

90% of the video is running around triggering contextual animations. Nothing wrong with that but it doesn't showcase any melee combat/physics interactions in any way, some of which is objectively much more advanced in the first game.

Its funny how even Techland said they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up in DL but you know better than them.

You can't do most of that in DL, contextual animations, WTF cares.

I have watched plenty of this individuals videos and he is a monster when it comes to stealth!

And to the OP. I just love how a simple benign thread about someone playing stealthily has the ability to bring out all of the d-bags who love to complain about everything in this game. I'm surprised there wasn't a "LOL! Tree's grow on roofs!" comment.

Don't forget the major flaw with the game that cannot be tolerated, the torch its not pretty enough when shining it on walls, people actually started topics about that!

It is better in DL2 but in DL1 you didn't parkour every waking moment like you do in DL2.
That said in DL2 you also never really need to actually run from anything, I can survive night chases up until level 4 where i need to escape and even then safe zones are abundant.

Ah, one of those who can't objectively look at things and make relevant conclusions, I see. Well, how about this? https://twitter.com/smektalaTM/status/1490619225806807040

Techland literally admitted this whole aspect is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up now in DL2, I suppose this should make it an ultimate argument in your eyes.

The combat system in DL1 wasn't particularly great, but they didn't fix anything in this game - quite the opposite, they just introduced a bunch of gimmicks which completely ignore the fundamentals of melee combat. The video just showcases how this game needs a serious redesign - just look at the last part of the video where the guy just turned an elite human enemy into a zombie and then kept him stunned with UV bars. Getting cheap kills is boring and it was definitely not what this franchise needed.

90% of the video is about a player doing headshots and executing enemies from stealth.

Everyone who's not just a casual trying to jerk off to "cool" videos where you just press 1-2 buttons to get the kill.

Just because you can't play the game like that.

Casual gamer, the fact that you say that says it, I've played more games, owned more consoles and PC's that you will ever play or own over the past 30+ years.

Gate keeping like that is so childish, the only reason we get games that cost hundreds of millions and are ambitious as they are is because of casual gamers spending money so STFU.
