Doom Easter Egg not working

Yesterday I collected all 5 black ducks, went to the elevator and entered the Doom challenge, but left it unfinished.

Today, I came back to the basement only to see the elevator is closed and I cannot even call it down, so I'm unable to enter the challenge anymore.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this bug?

Invite a friend to join your game when you're down there. That should open the elevators doors.

Awesome, so this Easter Egg is impossible to re-open for those of us unwilling to delete down to below 300 Steam friends. Sigh. I should have known I would regret leaving without finding the Force Choke blueprint or whatever

You fast traveled out of the area after the mission and it locks the elevator at the bottom so you can't get into it again. I'm there now and apparently they bugged the wall so I can't even get the force choke or all 5 crystals to gold the challenge
