best way to fight Volatiles?

whats the best way to fight Volatiles and when u are low level? im plaing on going mostly PK up to the bow gun (while leaving tower for "frank" ) i over hate the survivors tho i really sih i could of joined the raiders tho. xD

knowing me i prob will stay out most of the night (or all night) just dont known when the best time to stay out n all to fight. (+++XP boost)

Depends how low level you are, if you have the blocking charge you can cheese Volatiles to an extreme. Get them near an edge and just charge them off, instant kill if the drop is far enough.

For me early was upgraded throwing knives to kill volatiles
there is a glitch you can upgrade blueprints for free...

I didn't go after virals until I got a bow. The first bow you get is pretty weak unless you are able to head shot. The second and later bows that I've come across can usually one shot virals, especially if you put a point or two into the bow skill on the combat tree.

Once you have that it's pretty easy to farm virals at the convoy sites. Get on a ledge, clear the regular z's then shoot a propane tank. That will call in virals, then snipe away. Once you get exploding arrows, any ledge will do. One exploding arrow or propane tank should get you 5-10 trophies. I don't use the exploding arrows on the virals, just to summon them.
Easiest if you find a ledge near 2-3 of the ground hatches. Shoot them as they come out of the hatch. It's a pretty easy and controlled way to farm them in the daylight.

The throwing knives worked, but I found that once I got the bow I never used them anymore so the upgrade points were wasted for me and better applied elsewhere.

Flash light + Cross bow with poison/stun/explosive shots + High level active weapon mods

the flash light is op. once you get it you can just tap it to do a flash effect (may need to upgrade once i cant remember).You can spam its flash effect and it recharges faster than you can use it. It stuns volatiles every couple of seconds. It's broken op.

Bow. running backwards and shooting them with a bow stuns them.
