Game breaking bug -- Stuck on "Now or Never"

So, I had to go to the renegade base to chase after Lawan. I got there, and found her...she was in a hallway and had just killed some guy. Then she takes off, and I find her again inside the BIG room with Williams and his wife. I decided to "side with" Williams, and was told to "go find Waltz's room" or whatever........

Well, trying to get there, I got to the elevator, and it didn't work. It was bedtime for me, so I decided to log off for the night there, and try to figure it out later. (I realize now that the reason "it didn't work" was because I needed to look at different buttons for different floors apparently -- obviously I did not do that).

But now ------ and here is the BUG ------

When I log back in, it places me outside the compound looking at the wooden bridge. No people are showing up. Place is totally empty. I've been all around that building, inside and out, every nook and cranny. And it appears the game wants me to return to that BIG room (quest marker), but I cannot. The doors are closed, with no option to open them. The big double door that says "Pump Station" above it, closed. Going around to the "dining room" (room with big table and "chandelier"), that yellow gate is closed as well -- even though I had opened it before I logged out that night.


So, because there is no way to cancel out of the mission, reset it, leave the area (since this is the epilogue), and obviously no way to continue....I'm stuck, totally.


Not sure if anyone can help me with this, but wanted to put this out there for others to know, and hopefully a fix will happen eventually.

This hasn't happened to anyone else? No ideas for a workaround?

This game's bugs rival that of Cyberpunk lol.

Either climb back up to the original entrance on the outside of the building or open the grate in the floor in the room with the chandelier and swim over to the ladder.

Ok, I fixed it!! :) Here is how.....

I had to go outside the mission's "area" and die from that. Then it respawned me in the big room with Williams.


Just to be clear, I went ALL around that building, in and out, up and down. All the doors to the area I needed to go were closed. So, this "fix" might help others with similar problems.
