Finished the story but stuck on broadcast mission

So I've finished the story but when I go back onto my character the game is telling me I need to climb the VNC tower and attach the device despite the fact I've already done it. Going back up the tower does nothing.

If I go to the newfound lost lands the game kills me for being to far away from the objective I cannot complete and the game is also permanently stuck at night time. I cannot go to rest to make it daytime as it says it's "too dangerous" despite there being no infected.
