accepting distress calls doesn't work

anytime i accept a distress call it tries and fails right away and says unable to establish connection is it just me thats happening to?

I had a easier time inviting friends from my friends list on steam

i cant join or invite anybody, my friend can invite me but i cant join, it says drop out in the menu after i hit join but im still in my solo game. says im connected and set to public

Have you found a solution to this yet? The other two posters didn't answer your question and I'm having the exact same issue. I don't have a problem with coop, but when I'm playing by myself but would like to accept a distress call, I press the action button for it and it spins in a circle like I'm holding the key down to join and then nothing happens. I have my online mode set to public and Call for help: Search and rescue set to Regularly.
