Dying Light 2: Reloaded Edition

Dying Light 2: Reloaded Edition

RTX 3080 / 3080 Ti / 3090 users playing at 4k. What graphics settings are you running the game at?
I am confused about which settings to play the game on. Turning on RTX with dlss results in 50-60 FPS but the game looks next gen. Turning it off gives me 100 FPS but it doesnt look good at all. What settings are you running the game on?

turn on dlss balanced
I'm on a 3070 at 1440p and yes, without RTX, I don't want to play it tbh. I'm at 70-90 1440p with DLSS Balanced...but then suddenly out of nowhere frame rate tanks to 30s after playing for a while.

I only use RT GI, RT AO and RT Sun. Reflections low
I personally wouldnt run above 1080p. Playing higher res means you are doing an upscaling which turns in 2 things: FIRST You are NOT looking at a real 4k since the game does NOT have 4k native textures, so most of those pixels are just a calculated render, SECOND it cuts performance AF.
bruh. game looks almost the same from high to rt. you are legit losing fps on placebo. if you think it doesnt look good without rt you are wrong. cus rt changes barely nothing

That's a valid point. But I do feel it better at 4K, I've played without RT at 4K and feel it way sharper
I run it with most everything maxed out, but in 1440p. Looks amazing, and I'm getting avg fps in the mid 80s. 3080 and a 3600x. Hope this helps.

Not true; this game has a HUGE difference between RT ON/OFF; even if it did not; RT is worth it just for getting rid of the ugly shimmering shadows. (RT Shadows have zero flickering)

3900x and 3080Ti is between 60-70 FPS. Sometimes it drops to 40 FPS. Resolution is 2K. Everything Maxed up. DLSS is performance.
3090 user here, I rather play with 4k@120 FPS than getting something like 80-90 FPS with RT ON.

if you actually play the game. you dont notice unless you stop and look for the details. would rather have smooth gameplay with nice graphics than low fps, input delay and barely a visible diff while playing
RT looks some better, but it isn't that good in this game......if you start looking close to details, the game shows a ugly side and RT can't help that.
Also the optimization with RT is bad, frametimes are horrible, even they already tried to get it better. The game is triple the fun with all maxed out at 4K and no RT but steady high frames, than activate any kind of RT (the lower RT settings are not even worth talking about anyway) and have drops all the time and get sick from bad frametimes.

And unfortunatly this is given throughout with any at the moment available GPU.......but I am pretty sure within the end of this year / beginning of next year some patches will improve this a lot.
Above 4k (can't remember exact res), maxed out, dlss balanced. Locked 60. 3090.

You're blind, friend.

RT changes the lightning drastically -- I don't know how you're missing this lol.

It's a game changer.
just shine a torch on your monitor for that true ray tracing experience and not lose any frames

it is not game changer. far from it. placebo hit you too hard. like i said if you actually play the game. you dont notice at all. only if you stop and look for details
