definitely wasnt for me, pretty sure on a dumpster on the street level, though maybe i didnt do it in right order, even if that was the case i thought he said that there were several bee hives that he hid high up so others dont have an easy access?
I loved dl1, and 2, dialog is off for the first few hours, but it improves. you get used to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ controls also, still not sure if dl1 is better yet, there are some pretty cool missions in dl2. cathedral , blowing up a windmill.
40+ hours into it...
OMG blowing up the windmill thing almost had me raging. Aiden goes from glue baby to unable to stick any kind of jump for that scenario.
Gameplay was okay but felt stiffer than DL1 especially the parkour. I have many instances where wall running for instance screws me over instead of helping me by for example running past a handhold and then not letting me grab it afterwards. Some of the abilities also reguire weird or annoying prompts to activate like having to spam shift for afterboost or the kick button for a improved obstacle jump (which fails to activate most of the crucial times anyways) and dont let me get started with double jump... does that even work? Not once have I felt like i've done any kind of a extra jump with it.
Night is boring and as some said easy, I rarely bothered to skip it by sleeping cause I was too busy using it to go whack gre anomalies (which are major wimps btw) and doing regular quests cause I didnt feel threatened. It only becomes somewhat annoying if you trigger howlers and finally get some action but even then you can easily abuse the spawn in mechanics of the virals by goin on top of a car and just wave clearing them. (side rant why cant i kill a Howler without it starting a chase with anything except ranged weapons like cmon if i eliminate it before it screams that should count...) Night would be much more threatening if virals and volatiles would be present en masse without the howlers. Now there are only a few virals sprinkled in amongside the already few specials who almost always seem to be the pustule dudes anyways. Imo there should be a lot and I mean a lot more specials present during nights. Also the rooftops man, why are virals and volatiles not roaming them aside from the viral random encounters? As it stands now, unless you get a Howler to scream, you get barely any cool rooftop action.
Also PK crossbow is the only xbow I know of and it scales with levels while bows do not and theyre super scarce makes the crossbow the only truly viable ranged option. But it kinda sucks since volatiles hit like trucks which means ranged is your safest bet to killing them in which the pk xbow excels cause its stupid strong and bows suck cause theyre weak af even with the upgrade from combat tree.
Thanks if you bothered to read this.
Edit:
Also if Im in the later stages of the game could the game please for the love of god give me usable consumables from the enemies and environment? I'm low on HP and I convininetly found this lvl1 medkit to heal myself instead of crafting a max medkit, lets waste 4 seconds to heal 20hp out of 360... Oh hey I found these lvl1 molotov and throwing knives, I'm sure the lvl 4-8 enemies care about the 10 damage they inflict to them...
Agreed, don’t understand people who enter the discussion, to say “ go play something else then or you don’t have to play it” ,
In 2 there is just barely anything to stop you as you move around the world. And most missions are always about fighting Humans. Your only ever at threat if spotted by a Howler, and it's stupid easy to run to the nearest UV light to escape.
Wow, thanks for linking to this before-and-after video.
Would love to hear/watch a developer diary that describes the thinking along the project evolution, the trade-offs they had to make, the reactions of artists and the discussions with the engine team each time they had to reduce detail. How the arguments went (pref vs fidelity), the changing of the color palette etc. Would definitely pay for such a DVD/stream!
I really believe the devs are intentionally trying to annoy and frustrate the player.
The wonky wall running that sometimes misses hand holds and has very variable length that it can run (telling me that it's mostly a scripted thing).
The weird button combinations and tiny window for follow-up actions, like SHIFT for speed burst or jumping on a staggered enemy in the first 3 ms that he actually is stunned.
Some actions are hardcoded on certain keys and if you remap the default controls, you either can't perform certain actions or you do two actions at the same time (like if you assign ALT to crouch, you shoot the harpoon when you crouch and you can't do active landing because that's hardcoded to C).
The fixed quest rewards and max fixed level of dropped items in the world (LVL1 for consumables and LVL6 for weapons and gear). There's nothing more satisfying than clearing out a bandit nest when you're LVL8 and getting a LVL3 artifact weapon for your troubles.
The insane grind for everything (exp, inhibitors, crafting materials, money).
The stupid night timer that can be mitigated in so many ways that it's literally just there to annoy you.
All of these and many more are just frustrating. I mean didn't they play this. There's no way in hell humans would play this and go, Yep this is fun.
1. People overly obsessed with the franchise who will overlook any flaws, despite acknowledging them. All this in favor of giving nothing but praise. Even if these flaws are not present in the original game and there is no logical excuse to have them in the new one.
2. People new to the franchise, or those who casually played the first game that might not see beyond the flashy new game with pretty graphics.
Unfortunately these circumstances will always outnumber valid criticism (negative or positive). Level-headed people, specially in the gaming community are always a rare breed.
Well tell me about it, i know how much HATE i am getting for disliking the game here. I been called troll etc.
People on Cyberpunk 2077 forum went to haras me on profile and stalk me around the Steam forum and wanted to drag me into argument my each post just to get me banned while Mods ignored my reports.
I know people dont like to open the mouth because they get unnecesary hate or it just dont worth the trouble.
I was looking for this game though, its a shame it is how it is.
I was there on No Man Sky forum as well even though i didnt own the game, atuff like this should not be happening.
