This has been a very disappointing sequel so far

I'm not super far in, like 10 hours of so. but its just not been great. I don't get why in gods name they thought it was a good idea to reduce the focus on zombies in your zombie game. You don't really get swarmed by virals anymore like the first game during the day, and surviving at night is a total cake walk. its just kind of slow and largely uninteresting

the immunity countdown seems like a completely pointless addition as well. you get so many items to extend it that it makes it more of an annoyance rather than something to really be concerned about. it just doesn't add anything positive to the game

the story so far has been, bleh too. which is funny because thats the part they've been talking up the most

I'm more mad that i paid so much for Ultimate edition and my stuff has been broken since release.. and nothing has been said by techland about it..

I cannot access my goodies like comic music or anything.. the weapons are completely broken since day one.

Its just kind of nuts to me that they thought it was a good idea to put focus on the worst aspect of the first game, and remove focus from the best aspect of the first game. its just so backwards. it woulda been genius if they actually managed to make it work though. but they did not, from what i've played so far

How did Old Villedor turned from the E3 trailer to what we got in retail? E3 version actually looks like an old European city 15 years after an apocalypse. I know E3 trailers are fake as ♥♥♥♥ but jesus the downgrade is on the level of Watch Dogs. 7 years for this ♥♥♥♥?

It got better after i disabled the immunity crap.. Its ok it takes so long to feel playable due to the exp grinds, and the story is all over the place..

I'm mostly playing to get my monies worth. Its not Dying Light 1 sadly.

I had a bit of buyers remorse with this one. Had to refund due to controls and physics alone. Now that I'm reading more about how some mechanics have been either dumbed down or taken out entirely, I think I'll just go play DL1 again.

I do hope the game gets better with time. I would not mind giving it another chance in the future. Right now, the game doesn't look or feel like Dying Light unfortunately.

Dying Light 2 is more of an example of the sheer number of sacrifices a game has to make to make a "Bigger and Better" Sequel.

PAINFULLY TRUE!!

This game just lost what made Dying Light so fun to play: the atmosphere! After 12 hours or so of this game I reinstalled Dying Light 1. It's just more fun. Night is actually scary. You most definitely can die. Easily. DL2 is a cakewalk by comparison. You literally just walk the streets during the day. And just walk the rooftops at night.

Well... jog. This guy jogs.

Yes its true a lot as in the majority hated playing at night in Dying Light 1 me included.. I totally avoided it as best i could.

So i'm glad they toned it down so i can play it at night.
