Spoiler: Final waltz boss fight is the worst, buggiest mess in ALL of gaming, ending is non existant.

spoilers ahead for the final boss fight and ending:

The waltz bossfight is the worst buggiest mess in all of recent gaming imo. first off if you get hit ONCE by his ranged ground pound attack, you get basically stun locked until until youre killed (he does this attack like 8 TIMES IN A ROW) or hit until you get thrown off the main platform and then you have to cclimb your way back up slowly. waltz doesnt jump down, he doesnt chase you he just stands there waiting patiently for you to heal and climb up.
Not only that, after waltz killed me once and i respawned, he appeared back all the way at the top platform where the cutscene started, not at the fighting arena. the only way i was able to actually get back up there was by cheesing the grapple hook and wall run mechanics to get back to place i was not supposed to be at. and then again the issue of getting stunlocked until the attack pushes you off the platform and having to make my way alll they way back up cheesing grapple and wall run AGAIN just to get pushed down 4 more times. BULL S****!!!!!

Then the second phase is absolutely horrible. waltz keeps running into chemical zones so you cant reach him, and he will pop out for maybe 2 seconds to attack and run back in. youre VERY lucky if you can get a single hit in with a one handed weapon, but if you use a 2 handed its too slow and youll almost never hit him unless you tank a hit in order to. I had to cheese this part by using almost all the immunity boosters while going into the irradiated zones he sits in for 20 seconds at a time and just wailing on him. thankfully he doesnt even react when you do this, no blocking, no attacking, nothing. he just sits there.

third phase was ACTUALLY fun!! wow!! you have to fight him on some platforms, then he jumps away to another one and you have to chase him and fight him some more and repeat a few times. pretty fun ngl. and then at the end you turn into a zombie so youre super powered and youre like wow this will be a cool part! i bet he runs away and we have to get to him quickly! nope. one hit. you go zombie mode for ONE. SINGLE. HIT. then 4th phase starts.

I have been waiting since the begining of the game to have a zombie mode vs zombie mode enemy boss battle. it such a cool mechanic! so do we finally get that? NOPE!
fourth phase starts, youre zombie mode and so is waltz. do you fight? nope, he runs away and goes down the platforms. you "chase him" until he reaches the final platform and then he stands absolutely still (doesnt keep running, doesnt attack, doesnt block, dodge etc) as you wail on him for like 5 hits and then you beat him. thats it. thats the end of the boss battle. the power fantasy? ruined. the game? bugged as ♥♥♥♥.

and the ending. jesus that ending is just... well its non existant! you just get some text over a black background telling you what happened. "hakon saved lawan", "missiles got launched but the city was evacuated" like WTF??? could you not do a cutscene? a small slideshow like fallout? can WE SEE HAKON SAVING LAWAN? HOW DID THEIR CONVERSATION GO? nope. you get white text on a black background. enjoy. f*** you techland.

you forgot to add that every time you die - the stuff you have used, like healthpacks and C4m mines etc. are still gone. So you get to try again, but this time even harder cause your gradually losing all your stuff.
Some parts of this game are stellar, but then some other parts - they must have given the job to one of their kids... I swear.

For me he did fight in that last phase, but I swear he fights like a retarded toddler throwing a temper tantrum, just swinging his arms around wildly no matter if your in range or not.

I just stun charged (bash?) at him and chopped with a machete then dodged. Worked on hard difficulty super fast.

Waltz is a joke. The Arena Battle against the Demolisher in DL1 is by far better and more challenging than Waltz

Seems to be quite random if he can really stunlock you. In my kill he got stunlocked because of fire / shock mod on my weapon which procced quite fast and i just could hack away his life.
