Choice's don't matter....at all.
The choice's you make have absolutely no impact on the "flow" of the story or anything close. According to the Dev's there would be actual choices but no instead you are given the illusion of choice such as Option 1 (Progress the dialogue) or Option 2 (More Info which is literally useless and does not aid you at any point it is just there for filler.

So far i am extremely underwhelmed with the product delivered and it's plain to see the lies and broken promises. Game is fun with friend's though.

theres choice to kill a man or not im happy with this.
space 2022 年 2 月 6 日 下午 9:45
that's about on par with what i expected

every time they market a game to have "meaningful choices" it's usually hogwash

besides, it's dying light, i'm there to kill zombies and jump on rooftops, idk

There are around 5-6 big game choices which realy do change the game a lot, different missions and people after those choices. That is all main story relatex.

Side quests and to who do you assign regions make no impact on anything pretty much.

I agree. Maybe they will incorporate more meaningful choices into the dlc but that is highly unlikely.

Even tho i like the game. For example if you played/ or didnt play Detroit became human there was a part where you had to choose. And im saying it without spoiling but when you choose step A story with that character was finished. When you choose step B you could continue.
So now my point is, after seeing that from that day on i just decide or kind of forced to ''help'' everyone to be able to continue with the story with that person even if its not the main line i wanted to see more of it xD
When developers introduce some sort of that kind of an option into a game its not anymore a choise its something different ofc IF you want to see more. If you dont care at all and want to finish asap than you will not care anyways :D

I am on my 3rd play through and choices just make it so either people are there or not or if the Bazaar survives the civil war or not. People are never pissed at you and want to hunt you down.

You have not played long enough and it shows. There are absolutely major choices that effect the story, you just haven't gotten to them yet.

Its called lying. 39 hour playtime on his profile. Way too short a time to play the game 3 times. Hell I haven't finished the game once with that playtime.

Not every choice matters but some are important.

From the looks of it there only a couple major decisions in the game that really impact what missions are available. In most quests it's just superficial. Just like most rpg games. It's still more branching narrative than Dying Light 1 which I think only had one choice that mattered at the end of the Following.

There are 4 core choices in the game that greatly change everything that happens. I beat my first play through in 26 hours of going straight PK and always siding with them, and my 2nd play through I've been following the Survivors instead. Many different things have occurred including entire missions and areas that I have never been to.

The Core Choices Are(Spoiler tagged just in case)
1.Deciding who to give the water to, either the Bazaar or the PK's
2.Choosing who gets the radio tower
3.Choosing to kill or spare Hakon later in the game so long as you spared him the first time in the beginning area.
4.Sacrificing Lawan or having her kamikaze herself.

All 4 of these affect your ending. I have yet to experiment with Killing the leader of the renegades, I have only spared him so far. I haven't gotten there on my 2nd play through yet so I am unsure if this also affects anything.

There is one you missed involving the leader of the Peacekeepers.

how far have you played in? Not EVERY choice leads to any huge change. Generally ones that Show little split path icons are where things change.

Generally it just makes differences on who might die, what quests you do, where you go. Etc. It's more choice than some games give you.

how can you finish in that short of time???? you skipped over so much fun things. you had to have skipped a ton of content. I am not near finished with story. and i have tons of special areas i am completing too because those are really fun. I just find it hard to believe you completed it in 26 hours.
