I agree. My main criticism of the game so far. There is an off putting amount of Americans which does feel weird and jarring. Also where tf are my Australian vendors!?
That being said, I really enjoy the variety of all the NPCs and random survivors.

The kids are the worst.. exactly what you said. Like are there no child or preteen voice actors? "Brass thingama do-hicky" like what planet does a twelve year old talk like that lol.
Everything except for the main characters that are motion capped and face modelled after the actor. That stuff is great. The rest, not so much.

And yes, the variation of cultures in voices is really out of place.
