Active Landing skill doesnt seem to work?

I picked the skill because it seemed useful. But whatever i do it doesnt work. I just now found some reddit post where some people argued that it ignores the new keybinding for crouch and will stay at c - is that true?

try hitting c about a full second before hitting the ground. it's not like mirrors edge or DL 1 where its actually right before hitting the ground you need to press it well before landing

Hmm okay i will try that tomorrow - also is it true that the crouch keybinding doesnt affect it? My crouch is on ctrl.
