Keyboard prompts not showing, instead Controller buttons are shown

When using M and KB, the buttons are shown for Xbox Controller but there is NO controller connected. I cant change it in the menu. Practically unplayable now, because im still in the tutorial stage: hence i have no idea how to use the binoculars... doesnt tell and is not(!) in the keybinds menu.

Edit Solution:
put the controller back in the USB and load into your game, then press a controlelr button, then press a kb button (it should switch back to KB prompts) then remove the controller...

I have the same problem, no controller connected to my pc but he always switches back to gamepad automaticlly

My solution: i put in the controller, loaded into the game pressed a controller buttion , then pressed a keyboard button and it switch back. Removed the controller and it kept the kb pronmpts (for now)
