Infection timer in Dying light 2
I loved the original Dying light especially the ability to move around the map and complete quests at my own pace

Does the infection timer in Dying light 2 allow you to do this,or are you forced to race against the clock the majority of the time.

Thanks for any future help.

ps Dying light 2 looks stunning on the reviews.

It limits the amount of time you can spend in dark areas (night and indoor areas). I think the amount of time you're allotted increases as you level up, but I'm not a fan of the timer in general - it's an exploration-killer IMO.

infection timer is never an issue as long as you have immunity boosters or uv shrooms.
so yes you are free to explore, fyi i never died because of it in 25+ hours playing the game.
personally i like that idea and i think they implemented it well, it's not annoying for me.

Having a ton of immunity boosters so you can ignore the countdown doesn't mean it's a good idea to even have the immunity countdown in the first place. Completely useless fake tension after taking the sting out of nighttime

The timer actively ties into the lore, story and various gameplay elements. It does not hinder exploration, however. If they removed it, the entire game would make a lot less sense.
