CPU Temp problems.
I've tested on other games, and currently even on the lowest setting Dying Light 2 is sending my CPU to 89 degrees C in minutes. Other intensive games aren't doing that. Anyone know what's going on?

ntel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz is my processor. I'm not overclocking, and other games with intense graphics only take me to 70-80. I am using a gaming laptop. 89-94 is very unusual.

ill say this now , your likely going to get the annoying people looking to blame others rather than the game and youll see responses like "get a better rig" generic troll responses.....hard to say for sure , but this among other things was why people did not like Denuvo. While i cant say for sure ill give the general recomendations , dust out the computer obviously , if needed make sure your thermal paste and such for your processor doesnt need a new one as that can often cause issues. beyond that i dunno , could just be horrible optimizations by the devs , though since i just saiid that watch me get banned like everyone else that badmouths them XD

What's your GPU? Or are you using a integrated CPU to play a AAA title?

If it overheats in a game - it will overheat on a decent stress test burn in , cooling is not up the task basically.
PC should be able to cool with cpu and all cores running 100% for hours / days on end again, what was the results of your lass stress test ( 6h - -12H -24H) ? - if it overheats at any time - then it's time to revisit the cooling - or put power and cpu speed limits in place to throttle the CPU

Have you tried undervolting your cpu? Maybe since you're on a laptop that may help a little bit.

Alright I figured it out. Thank you for the tips everyone. The rate was for some reason shooting up way higher than usual in other games. It was running at 144 frames with and without vsync. I limited it to 60 and now my laptop runs it at 75-80. Still hot but not too bad.

Thank you again! I can't believe I forgot to check that.
