Coop in DL2 is :
-Host only keep World progression like Quest
-Players joining can keep character related Items/xp
basically in this coop you can play with your friends multiple times (if its in yur taste) to see how the world can become with your different decision that each of you made.

and also if you think its like DL1(when i say that i speak about the coop only obviously), well, no its not, its very much different (atm)

okay thx a lot for the info.
maybe i buy it soon. watching twitch and looks good for me. loved dl1 so i think i will love this also.

again
thx a lot for info.
The ironic thing is everyone is complaining about only the host saves their story progress when truth is games like the Saints Row and Dead Rising games had this very same type of co-op where only story progress saved to the host yet no one complained about it like they are right now with Dying Light 2.

Dying light 1 set a precedent for the kind of co-op progression people are complaining about. It saved story progression for co-op partners as long as they were at the same point in the story. Bringing those games up is kind of a non-argument. People expected progression to be the same as the first one and are upset that it isn't. Nothing ironic about it.

Sure But the difference being is that in DL2, every player makes decision that impacts the world... That is why co-op progression in terms of story is not saved :) I completely get that and im completely fine with it, in fact, it makes for more replayablity , to see who does what and how the story unfolds on their side :O

And that's a valid way of looking at it, but at the same time not everyone is going to see it that way. Some people are going to want to continue the story on their own and suddenly have to play through a ton of content again just to see something new and are going to be really upset or annoyed (like myself). Especially if you have 3-4 people playing and having only 1 person progress in the story, that's a lot of progress lost. They should at the very least have the option to save the progress. And really it doesn't even add any replay factor to the game, if you wanted to see the other potential outcomes you were most likely already going to new game + or just start completely over anyways. It's just a strange game design choice.
