As for this being a worthy sequel. I think the game world is a lot better than DL1. I like the improved weapon upgrade system and different clothing but overall the game feels a bit dated. There are many games that have been released in the past 3 years that are ahead of this in storytelling, models and facial animations. You can tell this has been in development hell for 7 years and the story in this is worse than DL1 so far.
What gets me about Aiden is he is a carbon copy of Crane, he even sounds like him. I had to check on IMDb that it was a different actor.
This is a really ignorant and stupid comment. The first game was good but was also very "arcade-like" with the grapple hooking pulling you up instantly for example, but the now second installment has more refined parkour, better combat and a better RPG progression system. You feel yourself growing stronger not just from the inhibitors but from the perks you pick up as well. In the first game, I felt pretty strong from the start and just got stronger and stronger. There were also TONS of exploits and dupes in the first game.
Or they could have just not add that mechanic in the first place? It's just trash and doesn't bring anything worthwhile to the game, it wasn't needed and is just annoying af.
First game didn't have that and everybody was fine.
