A Zombie transformation timer? Really?
I just learned about this from a review video.

Getting those you-are-about-to-turn Animations was THE WORST thing of the first game. Always super annoying. Now there is a timer? Meaning I can not even explore on my own time?

What is it with these decissions. I hope that stuff is only in some specific missions and not on all the time. Timers are not a great feature.

The dead rising franchise would disagree.

A time limit can add tension if done properly, and if it has in-story reasons to be there, all the better. As long as they handle it properly and let you explore as much as you want after completing the story, I'm all good.

Then you should never play 'project zomboid' one single bite from a zombie in that game and it's game over for you, and you have to start all over by creating a new character regardless how far you were :)

And more info about this timer? I usually don't like playing against the clock, it just puts me into tunnel vision mode and makes me ignore anything optional around it.

Apparently it has something to do with UV absorption. Spend too long out of a UV source (the sun, UV lights, etc) and you're toast. A trick to make things more tense. Regardless, this game will be half off next Steam sale with how bad the reviews are looking. So many cancelled pre-orders are incoming... Best to wait on it and play something else great coming out this month so you can save money on this one when it inevitably drops in price.

If the timer is badly done i will use a trainer to remove that BS.

The timer only start when you go to dark place without UV light source which will reset the timer you take shelter in those place, there also drugs and UV shroom to help too, timer default for 6 minute (which can be upgraded)
But there also a permanent cure that get rid of the timer completely at the end

i would argue dead rising 3 did the timer the best

if you wanted to play it with a fairly restrictive timer and with manual saves you had that option with nightmare mode

if you wanted a less restrictive timer and autosaves you had that option with the normal difficulty

Yes but unlike a scratch which gives you very low chance of getting a zombie infection, getting bitten is 100% chance of getting a zombie infection which can't be cured.
